Human’s Best Friend

We want to make a drone into a dog-like creature, having similar behavior of a guarding dog.

The drone would be chained in the middle of a room. When audiences enter the room, this drone would be hovering around and scanning the environment. Once it detects a human entered, it starts looking into the behavior of the human. If it sees the human’s hand, it will switch to attack mode. However, since it’s chained, it wouldn’t be able to get close enough to the human, but only giving the tension of aggression, and the relief after it’s finally unarmed.

Technical Structure

We planned to use the DJI Mini 2 in ER. Based on this model, the optimal approach we found so far is to use both DJI mobile SDK and OpenCV API in Android Studio.
